I recently photographed “Edie” in DTLA for my portrait series featuring people who inspire me. At this point in my life, I do not really get nervous meeting new people, but I will admit I felt a little intimidated by her presence at first. But the moment she got into my car, she started talking to me like we had known each other for a long time, and any nervousness I had simply disappeared.
We spent the day walking through the Arts District, talking about everything and nothing, and even making other friends along the way. She is one of those rare people who feels familiar the moment you meet them, effortlessly beautiful inside and out.
If you live in Los Angeles or New York, and spend any time on social media, you have probably seen her face at least once. With her fashion background and striking sense of style, she has that kind of presence that makes people stop, look, and fall a little bit in love.
